Summit Research Labs

Summit Research Labs was founded in 1962 in Somerset, New Jersey. Strictly a manufacturer of liquid antiperspirant products, Summit was positioned as a major supplier to the industry. In 1981, Summit expanded its product line, entering the water treatment industry with the manufacture of coagulants and flocculants.

By 1992, after more than 30 years in business, Summit's long-standing reputation for dependability and superior quality was well recognized. Boasting a solid customer base and a sought after line of products, Summit looked to expand its capacity and further diversify its product line. In 1992, Summit purchased Dow Corning's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Huguenot, New York, expanding its antiperspirant business with the addition of Aluminum Chlorohydrate and Aluminum Zirconium actives in powder form. This acquisition launched a new era for Summit Research Labs. Along with its new facility, Summit welcomed its most valuable resource, a veteran staff of experienced chemists, engineers, and operating personnel.

Expansion has continued to the present with the addition of three more Summit facilities including the company's corporate headquarters in Flemington, New Jersey. In 1995, Summit opened the doors of its Phoenix, Arizona manufacturing facility followed in 1998 by its first international manufacturing plant in Kandla, India.

Over the years, Summit has seen significant growth while keeping product quality and innovation at the forefront. Now, with global distribution in more than 35 countries, Summit is a world-leading supplier to the antiperspirant, water treatment, and paper industries.
